Child Safety Standards

How NexKyn takes child safety seriously: what is prohibited, how to report something, and which laws we follow. Last updated 24 May 2026.

1. Our commitment

NexKyn has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on the platform. We build technical and operational controls to prevent it, detect it, and act immediately on credible suspicion.

2. What is prohibited

It is strictly forbidden on NexKyn to:

  • Upload, share, possess, distribute or solicit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — in any form, including drawn, AI-generated, or deliberately obscured material.
  • Approach, groom, sextort, or otherwise sexually exploit minors through messages, experiences, service listings, or profiles.
  • Share personal information about a minor (school, home address, photo, phone number) without the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • Promote, normalise, or apologise for sexual behaviour toward minors.

These rules apply to every surface of the platform: profiles, services, experiences, private messages, invitations, service updates, and network descriptions.

3. How to report

Saw or suspect CSAM or CSAE on NexKyn? Report it. You don’t need to be certain — we’ll assess it.

  • In the app: use the report button on any message, service, or profile. Choose the "Child safety" or "Harmful to minors" option so it lands with the right team immediately.
  • By email: send a report to hello@nexkyn.app. Describe what you saw, where (a URL or profile id helps), and when. Do not attach copies of suspected material — describe it in words.
  • A child in immediate danger? Call the police first via 112 (Netherlands) or your local emergency number. Then inform us.
  • Independent reporting hotlines: in the Netherlands, you can also report to Meldpunt Kinderporno (EOKM). Internationally: NCMEC CyberTipline.

Reports are handled confidentially. Your identity is not shared with the reported user.

4. How we respond

On a credible report of CSAM or CSAE:

  • We immediately suspend the account in question while we investigate — typically within one business day.
  • On confirmation, we remove the account, all associated content, and block access by the associated email address and phone number.
  • Confirmed CSAM incidents are reported to competent authorities and to international hotlines (NCMEC) where legally required or reasonably possible.
  • We preserve evidence in line with our legal obligations to support investigations, and cooperate with law enforcement within the boundaries of applicable law.

5. Applicable laws

NexKyn operates from the Netherlands and complies with, among others:

  • Dutch Criminal Code article 240b (NL) — criminalisation of child pornography.
  • Digital Services Act (DSA) — obligations for online platforms, including removal of illegal content and transparent reporting mechanisms.
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) article 8 and recital 38 — extra protection for minors.
  • International standards including cooperation with NCMEC (United States, CyberTipline) on cross-border incidents.

6. Age requirement

To create a NexKyn account you must confirm you are 16 years or older. This confirmation is a mandatory step of signup (together with acceptance of the Terms of Service). Accounts found to have been created by someone under 16 are removed.

7. Child safety contact
