Terms of use

By using NexKyn you agree to these terms. We keep them short and readable — people should be able to understand the rules of a service without a lawyer. Last updated 25 April 2026.

1. Acceptance through use

These terms apply as soon as you create a NexKyn account or accept a network invitation. For material changes we will ask for your explicit consent again.

2. Who we are

NexKyn is a Dutch service based in Barendrecht. You can reach us at hello@nexkyn.app or via the contact form.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you are younger, we need consent from a parent or guardian.
  • One person = one account. Creating multiple accounts to bypass rules is not allowed.
  • You’re responsible for securing your OAuth login (Google / Microsoft) and your devices. Report suspicious activity to us.
  • Business users act through an account that belongs to an employee. Corporate ownership of accounts does not exist.

4. Conduct rules

Within NexKyn:

  • No discrimination, harassment or hate speech. This applies to experiences, private feedback, invitations, profile bios — everything.
  • No fake accounts, fake reviews or paid reviews. Recommendations must be honest personal experiences.
  • No spam or unsolicited commercial messages through the invitation system.
  • No services that are unlawful or lack essential permits (e.g. operating without a VAT number where one is required).
  • No sharing of personal data of others without their consent — not in a service listing, not in an experience.

Violations may lead to a warning, a temporary suspension, or permanent account removal. We report serious cases to the appropriate authorities.

5. Your content

What you publish stays yours. By posting it you grant NexKyn the right to host it, display it to authorised members, and store it safely within our infrastructure. We never use your content for advertising or AI training.

You’re responsible for what you post — including any third-party rights (e.g. photos of someone else, brand names).

6. Cancellation and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. We start the deletion within 30 days. What happens to your content:

  • Your services are removed.
  • Experiences you wrote stay but are anonymised — so the recommendation value for other network members is preserved.
  • Invitations you sent remain valid until they expire, without your name attached.

NexKyn may suspend or remove your account if you breach the conduct rules. For a suspension you’ll get a notice with the reason first, unless immediate removal is needed for others’ safety.

7. Liability and warranties

NexKyn is a platform that lets people find each other’s services. We are not a party to the services that members agree on between themselves. If you pick someone via NexKyn and things go wrong, NexKyn and the service provider are not jointly liable — the responsibility lies with the service provider.

We do our best to keep the platform stable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability. We’re not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, data loss, reputational harm), unless those damages stem from our intent or gross negligence.

8. Changes to the terms

We can update these terms. For material changes you’ll get at least 30 days’ notice via in-app message + email and can decide whether to accept or delete your account.

9. Governing law and disputes

Dutch law applies. Disputes we can’t resolve between us are submitted to the competent court in Rotterdam.
