Getting started
No, everything is free during the beta. You don’t need a credit card to create an account. We’re working on a paid tier for service providers and network admins down the line; participating in a network you’ve been invited to stays free forever.
You sign in with Google or Microsoft. We then ask for your name, date of birth (16+), and city. A phone number only needs to be verified the moment you write a review, create a network, or invite someone — not before.
Yes — there’s a native app for iOS (TestFlight) and Android (Internal Testing), and this web app works on every modern mobile browser. Data syncs automatically between your devices.
Networks and privacy
Only people you or an admin invite. Family networks are private by default and not searchable from the outside. Business and community networks can be open or closed — your choice.
By default network members see your name, photo, city, and the networks you share. You can toggle per membership whether it appears on your public profile — managed at /app/profile/visibility.
Yes. You can choose per service and per network whether it’s shared. Staying in the network is independent of that.
Never. We don’t show ads, place tracking cookies, or share your data with third parties beyond our technical providers (Brevo for email, Expo for push, Google Places for city autocomplete). See the privacy policy for the full list.
Phone verification
For actions visible to others — writing a review, creating a network, inviting someone — we want to be sure you’re a real person. For browsing and joining you don’t need to.
No, unless you put it on your profile yourself. We only send the one-off verification code and any security notifications.
One year. After that we’ll briefly ask you to reconfirm before you take new trust actions.
We immediately disable all SMS to your number and ask via the app for fresh consent if you later want to send something again.
Reviews
No. Reviews can only be edited or deleted by their author. Admins of the network the review is in can hide it on misconduct. Service providers can only report reviews — we then review by hand.
Reviews are primarily visible in the network they were posted in. In other networks where the same service is shared they appear anonymously, labelled as "experience from another network", so you aren’t quoted out of context.
Account and data
Yes. Your profile page has a "Download my data" button. You get a JSON file with all your profile data, services, network memberships, reviews, and invitations.
Your profile page has a red "Delete account" link. We’ll email a confirmation code; after that you have 30 days to cancel the request via a link in the confirmation email. Services and reviews you’ve left behind stay so networks don’t lose their recommendations.
Within the first 30 days yes — click the cancel link in the confirmation email. After that the account is unrecoverable.
Memory and sharing
Then they’re not in NexKyn yet — but you can always add them later from your saved-services list. Saving and recommending each take one tap, also three years after the work itself.
Every service in NexKyn has a unique QR code. The provider prints it on their invoice, business card, or finished work. A happy customer scans, and the service appears in their NexKyn — with the option to endorse and share with their own network.
Don’t. Just ask for one name: who’s her plumber? With that name, you start a network, and the next time someone in the family asks, you’ve already got the answer. Aunts come round on their own.
Then you see that immediately, and you go searching the open internet with a calm mind — you tried the right place first. NexKyn doesn’t pretend to have everything; it just makes sure you don’t miss what your circle does have.
